Founding Owner & Vet
Dr. Keller opened The Mountain Hospital for Animals in 1991 with a simple idea — that a small practice can be a serious one. Three decades later, he's still the person many Lookout Mountain families call first when something feels off with their pet.
His patients range from the routine to the unusual. An annual exam for the family dog or cat one hour, a parrot, a tortoise, or a bearded dragon the next, and on many occasions native wildlife from the surrounding areas. Whatever walks (or hops, or slithers) through the door, the philosophy is the same:
"At The Mountain Hospital for Animals, animals always come first."
Outside the clinic, Dr. Keller also cares for the animals at the Tennessee Aquarium — work that spans the same wide spectrum, from finned to furred.
